The end.

Our last party together on finals day! We went to the park! We had a great time reminiscing about the past semester, and did the 3 things we do best: Eat, Talk, and Laugh... in that exact order! :)

I am going to miss all of my fellow blockheads! I love each of them! I have learned so much from them and have made such great friendships! They will all make great teachers. :)

Oh yeah....I am officially done with school!

The end.

pictures

I just realized my blog is SUPER boring.

I will get pictures up soon.

I Promise.

Happy!

I'm sitting in class right now, and I just can't help but have a smile on my face! Even though I am sitting through my least favorite class, I am so excited because I only have one week of school left. That means only one more social studies class!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!

Next week I will be done! Like completely done forever! (unless of course I decide to go back to school) It is so weird to think about. weird.

I feel so blessed to have made it through school in 3 years. I have for the most part enjoyed my educational experience. I have had a few interesting experiences at school, but I have learned so much and have grown in more ways than I could have imagined. I would definitely not take back the last 3 years of my life for anything.

I am so excited to move forward and start having new adventures up in Salt Lake. I am really glad and excited to move back home for a little while and to reunite with some old friends I haven't seen in a few years. I have also missed being near my family. It will be a nice experience to be closer to them. I can't wait! I move home the last week of April!

Even though I am really excited to move home, I am sad to leave my two best friends behind. Kestri and Lauren have been the MOST amazing roommates I could have ever imagined. I have laughed harder with them than anyone else I know. We always have a good time together! I have learned so much from both of them. One thing that has helped me so much this year is early morning scripture study we have together. We have been reading the Book of Mormon, and it has been a blessing to read together. I can't wait to see where our lives will take us in the next few years. :)

Almost done!

I can't believe it... in 5 weeks I will be done with the whole "college life" in Cedar City thing. I will move home and hopefully make some new friends up in Salt Lake. Does that scare me? Oh my heck you better believe it does! I will be moving on, growing up, and will hopefully become a great teacher.

I am so excited I got the internship at Manila Elementary, but I am beginning to feel the pressure that will be put upon me. Teaching 1st grade is going to be tough, but I can only imagine how many memories I will have by the end of the year! I can't wait to meet my students next August! SO EXCITING!

Costa Rica update: I leave in 50 days for Costa Rica! Holy Smokes where has this semester gone?!?!?! Summer is almost here! I can't wait!

The best part is... are you ready for this.... it is pretty insane... and way.... super....awesome..... Kacie got it too! We will be teaching first grade together next year! We will have our own classrooms and will be able to teach at the same school! I am so relieved and excited to have her working with me. Like everyone has said this year, we are two peas in a pod! I'm so glad that will continue on even after we are finished with college! I am so glad that we both applied for this position. :)

I am so excited about this internship. Wow! It's time to Celebrate!!!!..... Or study for the PLT Praxis which I take on Saturday. Oh joy!

Is it really already March?

WOW! I have had a crazy couple of weeks. I always think that my life will slow down after a busy week of school, work, and other activities, but it never does. It just seems to get even crazier. However, I wouldn't have it any other way I love staying busy because it makes me feel involved and happy!

I will just mention a few exciting things that have happened over the last few weeks.
  1. My roommate Lauren got her mission call!!!!! She is going to Kiev Ukraine. She leaves on June 16Th and will be speaking Ukrainian! She is so excited to be able to serve the Lord! I am so excited for her. She will be an awesome missionary.
  2. Last week I went to St. George for my elementary practicum. I was placed at Riverside Elementary with an AMAZING 1st grade teacher. I was SO lucky to be in her classroom for a week. I learned so many awesome teaching techniques that got me really excited to have my own classroom. I stayed with some awesome girls in a condo. We had a blast! We went running, swimming, ate out at yummy places, talked, and watched some great shows. We went to a frozen yogurt place called KRAVE and it was incredible! It is a self serve frozen yogurt joint, and really is delicious. I was so excited that I piled like 4 different flavors of yogurt into my cup and put really weird toppings on it. Everyone was laughing at my concoction. It ended up being almost 6 dollars. Yeah embarrassing I know. I ate the whole thing and yes it was delicious!~
  3. I am OFFICIALLY going to Costa Rica. I found out today that all of my fees are paid for and that I am set to go. I can't believe it! I am actually doing what I have always dreamed of. TRAVELING! I leave May 13th and will get back on June 11th. It will be a great trip. I am going with my awesome friend Kacie Cox. We are going to have a blast!~
  4. Still haven't heard on the internship I applied for next year. If I get it I will have my very own 1st grade class at Manila Elementary School in Pleasant Grove Utah! How crazy is that? I will be teaching students next fall if I get this position. Weird. I don't feel anywhere near prepared or ready to teach 25 six year olds. It will be an adventure that is for sure!
  5. Heard today from my boss at Mill Hollow. Planning on working there this summer again. I am so excited! Mill Hollow is the best summer job I have ever had hands down! It will be great to be up in the beautiful mountains again with awesome friends!
  6. I am up to 7 miles in my half marathon training! If someone told me I would be running a half marathon a year ago I would have burst out laughing. Actually burst into a huge long cackle because I was not a runner! But now I crave running. I love the feeling I have after I have been on a long run with friends. It is like stress therapy. I can tell when I go a day without it I get anxious! It is amazing.
  7. I started the biggest loser competition with my mom and dad again. I am SO motivate to get on track again. I am hoping to shed at least 10 pounds before I leave for Costa Rica. If I lose more, believe me, I won't complain!
  8. It is almost Spring Break! I can't wait to go home and be with my family for a week. It seems like I haven't been home forever, and I am so excited to spend time with them!

Well that is about it! yeah a lot has been going on. I really need to post updates more often so each post isn't a whole page long. Oops. my bad!

Great Run!

Unlike Salt Lake during the winter months, Cedar City has beautiful clear skies and rarely experiences an inversion. This makes it very enjoyable to go running outside even in the winter! Because it is President's Day today I didn't have class, so I decided to go for a run outside. It was PERFECT weather! I loved every minute of it! Running on treadmills just doesn't compare to being outside in beautiful nature! I went with my good friend Ali, who is an awesome runner! It was such a blast going with her and chatting about life. The hour went by so fast for the both of us! I think it is safe to say that I am beginning to get some very early spring fever. I know spring doesn't officially start until March, but I can hope for good weather until then right?

I'm starting to train for a half marathon in April, so I need to work on building up my endurance. every other week I increase my long runs by one mile. This week I ran 5 miles which would've been a breeze for me this fall, but since I let myself fall out of shape this winter, it will take a few weeks to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully the weather stays great so I can stay motivated and continue to train!
